l-o-v-e is in the air by Mia Tremblay & Craig Lambie
I am very excited to announce the installation
of MY FIRST EVER PUBIC ART SCULPTURE!
& the largest piece i’ve ever been part of making.
It is very much thanks to collaborating with FANtastic metal artist CRAIG LAMBIE.
We applied to a call to artists put out by the city of Nanaimo and we were selected!
Our l-o-v-e bird BEing
stands a stately 8′ tall and is 4′ wide,
& is made from steel.
The piece/peace is called:
“l-o-v-e is in the air”
The image is formed soul-ly from the letters
“l-o-v-e”
The letters themselves are air,
and illuminate the love that we feel IS…
in the air
flowing every direction
all at once.
She casts an amazing reflection that changes with the conditions.
Our bird BEing is currently enjoying her prime new waterfront property and has already drawn many admirers…
